10 Spots for an Enjoyable Breakfast in Trinidad
These fall in between between the fast grab and the fancy

As Trinbagonians, I think we can all agree that a hot doubles with slight is top-tier when it comes to breakfast options (extra sweet sauce for me please). That aside, there are occasions when you’d much prefer to get dressed up, enjoy a nice breakfast spread and take some Instagram worthy shots. Am I right or am I right?

So where do you go when you’re searching for somewhere in between the fast grab and the fancy? I’ve got you! For the foodies among us and those looking to try someplace new, I’ve compiled a list of 10 spots where you can dine in and enjoy breakfast in Trinidad.

1. Lola’s Food Company

Located on Tragarete Road, Port of Spain, Lola’s is a cozy hidden gem that serves breakfast from 7:00 am to 11:00 am on weekdays and all day on Saturdays. They offer American-style breakfast options as well as local favourites. The pictures speak for themselves.

2. Brick Lane Cafe

If you fall into the ‘must-look-at-the-menu-ahead-of-time’ group, then you’d be happy to know you can review the food and drinks menu online. Browse at your leisure before heading off to either of their two locations, Tragarete Road or West Hills in Diego Martin. If interested, they also sell gift cards.

3. Adam’s Bakery

This spot opened in Diego Martin earlier this year and isn’t showing signs of slowing down. Breakfast is served every day from 7:00 am to 11:45 am. Their varied menu even includes less conventional options such as porridge, crêpes and tartines. For beverages, choose from their range of New England Coffee or Tea and much more.

5. Bite Me Bistro & Bodega

Known for more than their witty social media posts, Bite Me Bistro is a prime spot in Curepe that serves breakfast all day. Ever heard of a braffle? Neither have I, but their menu describes it as ‘scrambled eggs, turkey bacon on cheese sandwiched between two plain waffles’. Sounds like it’s worth a try at least once.

6. Vanilla Bean Gourmet
